Texas Longhorns College Football Tickets And Seating Chart

Texas Longhorns quarterback Cold McCoy and wide receiver Jordan Shipley received the notification officially on Monday that they’ve been named semifinalists for national awards. McCoy is one of 15 in line to receive the Davey O’Brien Award, which is for the nation’s top quarterback. Shipley is one of 10 semifinalists being considered for the Biletnikoff Award for the nation’s top wide receiver. Winners will be publicly announced November 23. The Texas Longhorns are not newcomers to these awards and were among the first to take home such an award in 1977. Fans, coaches and players alike wish McCoy and Shipley well and hope to see them gain this national recognition.

If the start of the season is any indication, the Texas Longhorns have a very prosperous remainder of season ahead of them. Most often, at this point in the game, there’s at least one loss on the boards for college football teams but not the Texas Longhorns. Opponents that have tried to grab these bulls have gotten nothing but the horns from start to present. ULM scored 20 points in the season opener against the Texas Longhorns but it wasn’t enough to match the 59 points this team scored on their home turf. Wyoming was put down 41-10. Even Texas Tech bit the bullet losing by 10 points 34-24.

UTEP was nearly shut out when they got trampled by the Texas Longhorns 64-7. Colorado put 14 points on the scoreboard but the Texas Longhorns stuck it to them with a win 38-14. Oklahoma was a great show of action between the two teams but again, the Texas Longhorns took home a win 16-13. Missouri manage 7 points and was stampeded as the Texas Longhorns scored again and again, taking home another win 41-7. With this much power behind them, opponents beware. For the remainder of the year, the Longhorns will take on Oklahoma state on October 31, UCF on November 7, Baylor on November 14, Kansas on November 21 and Texas A&M on November 26.
